Fun News!

I just got news that the US Speedskating Hall of Fame will be using some of my pictures in their online magazine. Very exciting since I am just in my second month of being in business. I do have Dr. Steve Burton of SportsQuest to thank for the opportunity to follow the Olympic Speedskaters around town during a recent trip to Richmond VA.

Many of you have seen my animal photographs and may wondering how the sports fit into the picture. Before I decided to go into my own photography business, I decided that I would take every opportunity I could to shoot images completely out of my comfort zone. While there were times I became intimidated by the challenge, the fun I had outweighed it all. In the meanwhile, I realized how much I love to take pictures of action... Not just action, but fast action!

In one of those challenges to myself, I began shooting the Richmond
Revolution indoor football games at the Arthur Ashe Center. Soon after, I
received the request to photo
graph a few of the speedskating elite when they visited town for the Hall of Fame Inductio
n.

How could I say no??? If you would like to see more of the images from their visit to the Richmond community, click here.
