Mountain Life Wonders

I recently took a trip to the mountains. Needed to get away for a little bit to start a new slate of sorts and get refocused. The timing for all I did was beyond what I ever could have planned. The experience just gave me a renewed peace and reminded that things fall into place at the right time, even if I can't see it.

I had to prepare for an art exhibit over the weekend once I got back from the mountains, so I have lots of pictures yet to work on. Since the art exhibit was at a dressage competition, I have lots of cool pics from that as well.

All in all, a lot of fun stuff to work on!

I was driving down the Skyline Parkway when I saw this doe. There was a place nearby for me to park. I saw for a little while watching her as she wandered through the dark shade of the trees. Then, she stepped into a small lit area that was filled with Queen Anne's Lace. The view was just as magical in person...

Check out this crane that I saw near dusk while taking a cruise on the Shenandoah River. I feel a sense of freedom when I look at this beatiful bird mid-landing.
